By default initial install Joomla 1.0.15 is a stable reliable
platform to use as a backbone for any new website. Out of the box
Joomla has a few modules which are typically of no use. There is no RSS Feed Reader, Clouds or Linkbacks. The base install of Joomla developed by Turn Around Media
is a complete upgrade of the bare needs of any web site using Joomla or
not. The installation is hosted on the servers provided by Turn Around Hosting.
Most Read CloudsOn the bottom left hand corner of this site you will see a module with various links to pages on this site. the links with larger font have the most page loads. Hover over the link in the cloud, you will see they have title tags, messed up thing right now default Joomla modules like Latest News, NewsFlash and Menu modules do not have title tags! LinkbackThe Linkback Module is a good way to link back to sites that have linked to your site and someone clicked the link. This module also puts the number of incomming links from a link next to the link. (hahaha thats a lot of links). RSS Feed ReaderWith the RSS Feed Reader you can show rss feed title, link and date to any website that provides RSS feeds. |
